High-Quality, Beautiful photo shoot

Hello! I am MJ and I am not only a freelance photographer but more importantly, I am a black women photographer. Life is truly a journey and I am passionate about capturing that journey, for all walks of life, through the lens of a camera. 

My own journey has carried me into many different spaces. Now I occupy a space at Maryland Institute of College Art (MICA) as a Graduate photography student. I want my art to express the need of protection and comradery among women. I see my art as self expression to enter in the conversation of feminism and Black women's daily struggle of being told what right to fight for! We are not only black but women too and deserve the rights to reflect both sides of oppression.  

No matter if I am taking a picture of a glass of water, bouncing babies, glam shots or the stillness of freshly fallen snow, my goal is to make it an unforgettable experience and will go to any length to make it a success. I am a proud entrepreneur and owner of the photography company called Sistahs With Photos (SWP). Because at the end of this lens I am a sistah who takes photos.

I am surrounded both by natural beauty and interesting people. I use my camera to document the world and then print images with a focus on the magic I find in daily life. My pictures tell my stories. I live by these words:
